The Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic was honored by the Riverwood community in Port Charlotte FL, again this year for a donation that helps fund the VBA Clinic breast health and other cancer screenings. Project Detect raises money primarily through events held in the Riverwood community such as a Golf Tournament, a 5K Run/Walk, a Neighborhood Giving Campaign, auctions, and corporate sponsorship.
The VBA Clinic is grateful for the partnership with Project Detect. The donations have financed early detection breast screenings for uninsured and under-insured adults in Charlotte County, FL. Since 2012, Project Detect has donated a total of $365,000. Learn more about Project Detect at www.projectdetect.org. Learn more about the work of the Clinic at www.volunteercare.org.
