Saving Lives One Patient at a Time
The Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic relies on the goodwill of volunteers, donors and community supporters to provide primary, semi-urgent health care, wellness and pharmacy services to the uninsured in Charlotte County.
Unlike many other health care organizations, the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic is funded primarily by private philanthropy, grants from foundations, our three local hospitals, county government and individual donations. The Clinic does not receive any insurance reimbursement support.

With your support of $100 a month over the next 12 months, you can make a substantial investment in the clinic and our mission; whereas the VBA Clinic and Pharmacy can continue to be the access to healthcare for thousands in Charlotte County.
Joining our VBA Circle of Caring and help “spread the light” throughout our community!
The Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic and Pharmacy wants you to know we appreciate every donation – large or small – which supports our mission of caring for the under-served in Charlotte County.
Gifts of Stocks or Bonds
A gift of appreciated securities is an economical way for donors to make a charitable contribution.
Benefits include:
- Eliminating capital gains on appreciated shares.
- Charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of your shares.
- Making an immediate impact on the lives of some of our most deserving neighbors.
Make a Gift ‘In Memory’ or ‘In Honor’ of Someone Special
You may honor a loved one or friend by making a gift in their memory or honor. We will notify the honoree, or the family, that you have made this wonderful gesture.
Many people also make charitable donations to the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic in lieu of purchasing holiday or birthday gifts for family and friends. Simply send a note along with your cash donation telling us who we should contact.
Planned and Legacy Giving
Our Director of Donor Development can work with you to set up gift annuities and planned gifts of any kind. The most common way to make a planned gift is through a Will or a Trust that takes effect after the donor’s death. A bequest results in an estate tax deduction as it reduces the size of the donor’s estate for estate tax purposes. A bequest to the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic can be for a percentage, dollar amount, or the remainder of a donor’s estate.
