Gifts of Stocks or Bonds
A gift of appreciated securities is an economical way for donors to make a charitable contribution.
- Eliminating capital gains on appreciated shares.
- Charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of your shares.
- Making an immediate impact on the lives of some of our most deserving neighbors.
Make a Gift 'In Memory' or 'In Honor' of Someone Special
You may honor a loved one or friend by making a gift in their memory or honor. We will notify the honoree, or the family, that you have made this wonderful gesture.
Many people also make charitable donations to the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic in lieu of purchasing holiday or birthday gifts for family and friends. Simply send a note along with your cash donation telling us who we should contact.
Facilitate a Matching Gift
Many companies offer matching gift programs to their employees, directors, employee spouses and retirees. Contact your company's human resources department for more details or to obtain a matching gift form. Send your matching gift and your gift directly to the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic and we will complete the process.
Contribute Gifts in Kind
Many individuals donate healthcare items to the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic. We, in turn, are careful to distribute these to our neediest patients. The Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic also gratefully accepts Gift Cards for local grocery stores, retail stores and pharmacies. Please consider gift cards in any denomination from CVS, Kmart, Publix, Sweetbay, Target, Walgreens, Wal-Mart and Winn Dixie.
Planned and Legacy Giving
Our Development Team can work with you to set up gift annuities and planned gifts of any kind. The most common way to make a planned gift is through a Will or a Trust that takes effect after the donor's death. A bequest results in an estate tax deduction as it reduces the size of the donor's estate for estate tax purposes. A bequest to the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic can be for a percentage, dollar amount, or the remainder of a donor's estate.
