Cindy Neads, RN, BSN, Director of Nursing
Full time, a donor funded, contracted position

Cindy was born and raised in Arcadia, Florida, so she is a hometown girl with a passion for helping other people. She decided early in her life that she wanted to be a nurse and provide people with quality care.  Cindy came to us from the Florida Civil Commitment Center, where she worked as the Director of Nursing for the 12-bed infirmary; meeting the medical needs of their 700 residents and seeing about 60 patients every day. She supervised patient medication distribution, scheduled and trained the 20-person nursing staff.  During this time, Cindy also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Edison State College.  She came to the VBA Clinic to do her internship and fell in love with our Clinic and the mission. She said that couldn’t wait to do her volunteer work each night! When the opportunity to apply for the Director of Nursing position at the VBA Clinic became available, it was a natural for her.  Cindy works closely with the volunteer doctors and nurses to help ensure the patients are getting the quality care they deserve. She is a phenomenal addition to our staff.
