Virginia B. Andes Clinic Receives Generous Support from Pilgrim Church
May 29, 2015 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Port Charlotte Church Continues to Support VBA Clinic’s Work with the Underserved Citizens of Charlotte County
In Matthew 25, Jesus tells us what a compassionate attitude toward one another looks like.
35 When I was hungry, you fed me. When I was thirsty, you gave me a drink. When I was a stranger, you invited me into your home. 36 When I was naked, you gave me clothing. When I was sick, you cared for me. When I was in prison, you visited me.
Citing its “caring culture” and calling the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic a “lighthouse of compassion in our community,” the congregants of Pilgrim Church in Port Charlotte presented the VBA Clinic with a $6,500.00 donation from its Missions Ministry.
This is the 8th year that the Pilgrim Church has supported the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic, and Pastor Matthew Neumann had this to say: “Pilgrim Church is privileged to support a vital mission in our community that provides quality medical care with dignity to the under- resourced.”
VBA Clinic CEO, Suzanne Roberts, said “Pilgrim Church is one of our biggest supporters. We are so humbled by their support of our mission. We thank God for this Church and for the leadership of Pastor Neumann.”
