Donate $1 - SAVE A LIFE!
July, 2010 - Our July fundraiser is 'ON' at local Charlotte County restaurants, bars, and of course at the Clinic. Help us by donating just One Dollar.
Did you know that $1 can give someone $8 worth of medical care?
The VBA Clinic is the only free clinic in Charlotte County’s growing ranks of unemployed and working poor. Located on Gibralter Drive in Port Charlotte, it is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that sees approximately 3,000 patients a year, and dispenses approximately 6,000 prescriptions.
The pharmacy was established in 1999, and the clinic in February 2008 by private citizens in the healthcare field in response to Charlotte County’s growing need. [For more information contact Suzanne Roberts at (941) 766-9570 or (941) 276-9570.]
So, when you're out this summer in restarants and bars in Charlotte County and you see the Donate $1, SAVE A LIFE banner, won't you please drop a buck in the jar. Then, put your name on the card and your bartender-waiter-waitress will hang it on the banner.
Look for the banners in: Laishley Crabhouse, The Goal Post, Elena's Restaurant, Harpoon Harry's, Luigi's Italian Restaurant, Gator's Bar & Grill, Olympia Restaurant, and more. Thanks to the Florida Weekly for all their great support! And of course, you can donate here at the Clinic!
Thank you in advance - we appreciate your support!
