Charity Health Clinic Welcomes New Executive Director

The Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Health Clinic, managed by the St. Vincent de Paul Community Health Care, Inc., welcomes M. Suzanne Roberts, M. Ed. as the newest addition to their management team.  Ms. Roberts, the former National Director of Evidence Based Services for VISIONQUEST, relocated from St. Augustine, FL.

According to Tom Cappiello, Board President of SVDP Community Health Care, Inc., "We did a national search for an executive director and received 38 applications.  Suzanne was the top choice for the selection committee with her credentials and in the final interview process.  She has what it takes to take the clinic and pharmacy to the next level.  We have completed our start up phase and must now focus on building a stronger foundation that will carry us forward".

Ms. Roberts holds a Master of Education from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic College in West Palm Beach, FL.  Her professional experiences include: Regional Program Director for North Florida Mental Health Center, Executive Director for Bridges of America in St. Petersburg, FL, Chief Administrator for a 42 bed Child Welfare Group Home Program and State Director of Behavioral Health Services that included the programmatic administration of Department of Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare Programs.

Ms. Roberts shared, "I accepted this position so I can make a difference. I have always held positions were I can leave a legacy. I will do my part to ensure that the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Health Clinic provides quality primary medical care and prescription medication to those residents of Charlotte County that are uninsured and qualify for our services. I look forward to becoming a part of the community and greatly appreciate how warmly I have been welcomed by the staff and volunteers at the clinic and pharmacy".

On her week-ends off, Ms. Roberts returns to St. Augustine to visit family and friends and ride  her treasured horse, Kahlua.
